Clearwater First ("we," "us") is a Florida political committee. This policy explains what information we collect through clearwaterfirst.com, our chat widget and our text message program, and how we use it.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us, such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, and messages you send through the chat widget on this website. Our website and chat provider may also collect standard technical information, such as your browser type and pages visited.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your questions, to send you updates about Clearwater issues and elections, and, if you opt in, to send you text messages. Donations are processed by our third-party payment processor, Anedot, under its own privacy policy. Florida law requires us to publicly report the name, address and occupation of contributors; that reporting is separate from our text message program.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and check the box to receive text messages, we will text you about Clearwater First updates, elections and events. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and our messaging platform provider, is permitted. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website, our chat and our messaging program, when required by law, or to protect our rights.

Security and retention
